MEET SHERIFF AARON PITTS

Sheriff Aaron Pitts was elected as Kingfisher County Sheriff in 2024, bringing a deep commitment to public service and a lifelong connection to the community. Born and raised in Hennessey, Sheriff Pitts has called Kingfisher County home his entire life. A husband and father of three, he resides in Kingfisher with his wife, Ariel, who owns Scissortails Dog Salon and Spa in Hennessey

Sheriff Pitts began his law enforcement career in 2016 with the Enid Police Department before joining the Hennessey Police Department in 2017. During his tenure in Hennessey, he served as a D.A.R.E. instructor, School Resource Officer, and was appointed Chief of Police in 2022. His experience equips him to lead the Sheriff’s Office with empathy, dedication, and a focus on addressing the unique needs of Kingfisher County’s growing population.

Under Sheriff Pitts’ leadership, we aim to:

Increase deputy presence across all regions of the county by implementing a quadrant-based patrol system

Foster transparency and accountability through community engagement

Enhance training and recruitment to maintain a professional and responsive team
